Zephyr Candle

Up on the first floor of Kothari House, you’ll find us working away. We are located at 1/1 Oak Lane, right in the middle of the Fort area. It’s an old building, which has its charms and its quirks, like the stairs that creak a little when you walk up. Zephyr Candle isn't a massive factory; it’s more of a dedicated workspace where we handle all our wax and wicks. The air usually smells like whatever we’re melting down that day. Oak Lane can get pretty crowded during the day with all the office folks and delivery people moving around, but inside our space, it’s mostly just us focused on the task at hand. We spend a lot of time pouring and waiting for things to set properly. Sometimes the heat in the city makes it tricky, but we’ve figured out our rhythm over the years. We aren't into big advertising or anything like that. Most people hear about us through word of mouth or just happen to be in the Fort area and stop by. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the boxes of jars and supplies, but we make it work. We like the history of this part of town, even if parking is a nightmare. It feels good to be making something physical with our hands every day in such an old part of the city. We often have to keep the windows open to let the heat out, even with the city noise coming in through the glass.
