Y.S. International

Being on the 3rd floor of the Police Commissioner Compound in Bombay feels like being part of the city’s history. Y.S. International has been in C Block for quite some time now. The stairs can be a bit of a climb, especially in the afternoon heat, but you get used to it. Looking out from the windows, you see the busy streets of Maharashtra 400 001. It’s a crowded area, but that’s just part of the charm of being in this part of town. Our office isn’t anything fancy. It’s got old desks, plenty of files, and a few fans that have seen better days. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the place looks to outsiders. We’re too busy keeping up with the paperwork and the phone calls that never seem to stop. The building has a certain smell to it—old paper and city dust. It’s a real place where real work happens. We know the other people in the compound, and we usually say hello as we pass each other in the hallways. It’s not a corporate skyscraper with glass walls. It’s just an old block in a busy compound. We handle things as they come, day by day. Sometimes the power goes out, or the rain comes in through a gap in the window, but we just keep going. It’s our corner of Bombay and we have been here through many changes.
