Kalyan is a tough place to work sometimes, mostly because of how fast everything is growing. We’ve been doing construction here for a while now. It’s mostly about getting the foundations right and making sure the roof doesn't leak when the monsoon hits hard. We aren't a big corporate chain. It’s just us, a few trucks, and a crew that knows how to handle a shovel and a mixer. Most of our mornings start early, usually before the sun is fully up, so we can get to the site before the humidity gets too bad. We deal with all sorts of projects, some big and some just small repairs that people need done quickly. Dealing with the local authorities and getting all the permits in order is probably the part we like the least, but it’s part of the job. We’ve seen Kalyan change from a quiet spot to a place where there's a new building on every corner. It keeps us on our toes. Our office is a bit messy with samples of tiles and stacks of invoices, but we know where everything is. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We build stuff. Sometimes it’s a house, sometimes it’s a shop. We just try to finish what we started so we can move on to the next one without any lingering issues or complaints from the neighbors. It's hard work but it's what we know how to do best.
