Yasar Curtay Photography

You can find my place on Old Nagardas Road in Andheri East. It’s a busy street with lots of shops and people walking by all the time. I’ve been doing photography from here for a while. It’s not a big fancy studio with a lot of lights and assistants. It’s just a small space where I keep my cameras and do my editing. I spend a lot of time sitting at the computer or out on the street taking pictures. The neighborhood of Andheri East has a lot of character, and I try to capture that when I can. I don't use a lot of marketing talk because the work should really just show for itself. Sometimes the office is a bit of a mess with cables and printouts everywhere. I’m not really a corporate person. I just like the process of taking a photo and seeing how it turns out. People come to me when they need something captured, whether it’s a small event or just a portrait. I don't have a big mission statement. I just try to be honest with my camera. Being on Old Nagardas Road means there’s always something interesting to see right outside the door. I’ve lived around here for years, so I know the light and the way the shadows fall on the buildings. It’s just me and my gear, doing what I enjoy every day. It's a decent way to spend time.
