You can find Xl Electricals tucked away at 71 Mangaldas Road in Lohar Chawl. If you know the area, you know it’s packed. Every corner is filled with shops and people moving boxes. It’s a bit chaotic, but there’s an energy to it that you don’t get anywhere else. We’ve been in this spot for years. Our shop is small, and we have shelves stacked all the way to the ceiling with switches, wires, and all sorts of electrical components. Sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what you’re looking for, but we usually know where everything is hidden. It’s a family-style environment here. We drink a lot of chai and talk to the neighbors while we work. We aren't some big corporate showroom. We’re just a local place where you can get what you need for a repair or a new project. The lighting inside isn't the best, ironically for an electrical shop, but we make do. Customers come in with all sorts of questions about circuits and fuses. We try to give them a straight answer without overcomplicating things. It gets crowded in the afternoons, and the street outside is always a mess of carts and scooters. But this is home for us. We handle the parts that keep the lights on in the neighborhood. It’s busy, it’s loud, and it’s exactly where we want to be. I think we’ve found our rhythm here and we just keep going.
