Woodside All Day Bar & Eatery

We’ve been here on Masoli Pillaiyar Koil Street for a while now. Most days start pretty early because of the "all day" part of the name. It gets loud sometimes, especially in the evenings when the street outside is busy too. My apron always has a stain or two by noon, that’s just how it is here. Woodside All Day Bar & Eatery isn't a fancy place even if the name sounds a bit long. We have these old chairs that sometimes creak, but they work fine. Most of the people who come in live just a few blocks away. It’s a lot of work keeping the kitchen going and making sure the drinks are cold enough. Sometimes the power goes out on Masoli Pillaiyar Koil Street and we have to scramble. People just sit and wait, chatting. It’s got a good feeling, like a living room but with more people you don’t know yet. I spend a lot of time cleaning up spills and rearranging the menu boards. The neighborhood is changing, but we’re still right here at 41590. It’s not about being perfect, just about having a place to go. We keep the doors open and hope the weather stays nice. It’s mostly just us trying to get things right every day, even when we’re tired and the floor needs another sweep. We are just a local spot for whoever walks in.
