Wolax Lightings

Our workshop is at the Hammer Smith Industrial Estate in Mahim. It’s right on Sitladevi Temple Road, which is always packed with traffic. Wolax Lightings has been tucked away in unit 17 for years. If you know Mahim, you know how busy this area gets, especially near the temple. The estate itself is one of those old Mumbai buildings where everyone knows everyone. We handle lighting stuff here. It’s mostly about assembling parts and checking that everything works before it gets packed. The space isn’t huge, so we have to be careful about where we stack boxes. There’s always someone coming or going. Sometimes it’s a delivery person, sometimes it’s a customer looking for a specific part. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just a working space with lights hanging from the ceiling and tools spread out on the tables. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but the fans keep things moving. We just focus on getting the orders ready. We don't spend money on big signs or advertising. People usually find us because they’ve heard about us or they work in the same trade. It’s a simple operation. We show up, check the lists, and start working on the lights. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a mess, but we just keep the shutters half-down and carry on. It’s just how things go in this part of the city. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just putting together decent lights for the people who need them.
