Our office is tucked away in Sanjay Apartment over in Dahanuker Wadi. If you know the Kandivali West area, you know how busy Datta Mandir Road gets on a regular weekday. Wilson Sandhu Logistics India Limited has been here through all the rain and the thick heat of Mumbai for some time. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or looking at messy spreadsheets to keep things moving. Logistics isn't always smooth, especially with the way traffic is in this city, but we do what we can. The space here is a bit small, but it works for what we need to do every day. We mostly deal with moving goods from one point to another and trying to stay on top of all the various rules. It’s a lot of paperwork. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and that’s the highlight of the afternoon when things are especially stressful. We aren't a big flashy corporation with glass walls or fancy suits. It’s just us in a regular building trying to make sure the shipments don’t get stuck somewhere in transit. We know the local roads well enough. Most of the staff has been around for a long time, so we kind of just know the rhythm of the work. Sometimes a delivery is late because of a breakdown or a closed road, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. It's a plain job but it keeps us busy from morning until late.
