Western Auto Parts

Working out of Shreepal Industrial Estate in Jogeshwari West is an experience. The SVRD area is always moving. We are at unit 106 in Nivrati Nagar. It is a tight space with shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, mostly packed with auto parts. If you are looking for something specific for a vehicle, it is probably buried back there somewhere. We spend a lot of time wiping grease off our hands before touching the computer. The estate is loud. You hear engines revving and metal clanking all day long. It is not the kind of place you come to for a nice chat, but we end up talking to the mechanics and drivers anyway. Some days the traffic outside is so bad that deliveries take twice as long as they should. We just try to get the parts out the door as fast as we can. It is dusty work. The fans just move the hot air around, but we are used to it by now. We do not have a big corporate structure. It is just us, the inventory, and the constant phone calls asking if we have a certain gasket or a brake pad in stock. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait, but that is just part of being in this part of town. We just keep the shop open and do what needs doing every single day.
