Welspun Gujarat

We are based in Chembur, at 16 Gayatri in the Cheddanagar area. It’s a well-known neighborhood in Mumbai, and it’s where we do most of our daily work. The office isn't anything special to look at from the outside. It’s just part of the residential-commercial mix that you see a lot of in this part of the city. We have a small team here. Most of us take the local train or a rickshaw to get to work every morning. The space inside is quite functional. We have desks pushed against the walls to make more room for the storage boxes. We handle a lot of the Gujarat-related coordination from here. It involves a lot of phone calls and emails going back and forth. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to close the windows, even when it’s hot. We don't have a cafeteria, so we usually bring tiffins from home or order from the local canteen nearby. There is no corporate manual telling us how to act. We just work hard and try to stay on top of the schedule. The shelves are packed with old records, and sometimes it takes a while to find what you need. It is just a typical Mumbai office where everyone knows each other’s names and we get through the day together. We don’t have any fancy titles, we just do whatever needs to be handled at the moment. It is quite a busy life here.
