Our factory is tucked away in the Metalage Industrial Compound on Subhash Road. It’s in Jogeshwari East, number 8. It’s a busy industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machines or trucks in the background. We are part of the Arvind Mehta Group, which is a name people around here recognize. We do plastic extrusions. It’s a hot process, so the floor gets quite warm, especially in the middle of the day. We have several lines running most of the time. The workers here know the machines well. Some of them have been with the company since it started. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk into the main gate and there’s the office on the side. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the plastic as it comes off the line. If the temperature is off by even a little, the whole batch can be ruined. It’s a lot of physical work, moving rolls of material and loading the hoppers. We get our supplies delivered through the main compound gate, which can be a bit of a squeeze for the big trucks. It’s a practical environment. Everyone knows their job and we just get on with it. Subhash Road is always moving, and so are we. It’s just how the plastics business goes for Welset Plast Extrusions Pvt Ltd.
