You can find Waris Moulds at 10, Sumtinath Indl. Estate on Dumping Road. It’s in the Chincholi Bunder area of Malad West. It’s a bit of a gritty neighborhood, but it’s perfect for the kind of work we do. Mould making is a messy, precise job. Our workshop is filled with the smell of metal and coolant. We aren't a big corporation with a board of directors. It’s just us here, working on the machines and making sure the moulds are right. The estate itself is always humming with other small businesses doing their own thing. Sometimes we borrow a tool from the neighbor or help someone move a heavy crate. It’s that kind of place. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find us in the middle of a project with our sleeves rolled up. We’ve had some of the same machines for a long time because they still work just fine. We don't see the point in replacing something that isn't broken. Our paperwork is mostly done on a small desk in the corner that’s usually buried under some scraps. We don’t use any marketing tricks to get customers. People find us because they need a mould made and they know we’ve been doing it at this same spot for years. It’s a tough, honest way to work, and we like the independence it gives us.
