N. K. Trading

Our place is tucked away in Wadala East, right there in Mahatma Phule Wadi. It’s No. 191 5/5 on Barkat Ali Road, near the Korba Mithagar area. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you aren’t from around here. The street is always full of people and carts moving back and forth. Inside, we have bags and boxes stacked up pretty high. It’s a trading business, so there is always something arriving or being loaded onto a small truck out front. The air smells like the warehouses nearby. We’ve got a small desk near the door where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s not very quiet because of the traffic and the kids playing in the lane. Sometimes we sit on the wooden crates to have our lunch. We know all the neighbors, the tea stall guy, and the delivery drivers. We spend a lot of time checking stocks and making sure the numbers match up. It is a humble setup, really. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that hum. If the rain is heavy, we have to make sure the door is blocked so the water doesn't come in. It is just a regular life in a busy part of town, keeping the business moving as best as we can every week.
