You will find us in room 416 of the Shramjevan building in Wadala East. Right across from the RTO, there is always a lot of movement and activity outside our windows. This association is basically where those of us who make construction chemicals get together to talk and figure things out. Mumbai is a huge place, and being in Wadala helps us stay somewhat central to the trade across the state. Inside the office, things are very functional and a bit crowded, filled with stacks of papers and old files from the members we represent. A big fancy firm isn't what we are, just a group trying to keep the industry moving along in a sensible way. Sometimes the elevators in the B-5 wing take a long time to arrive, but that is just part of living in an older Mumbai building. People come in and out all day, mostly talking about technical issues or the various rules that everyone has to follow in this business. Coordination work and phone calls take up most of our time. Having been at this address for a while now, we are well-known by most people in the neighborhood. In the afternoons it gets quite hot, but we just keep the ceiling fans going and stay busy with the paperwork. Practical work for a practical industry is what we do, and we don't try to make it sound like anything special or corporate.
