Visha Electronics Corporation

Our place is in the Kalpana Building on Lamington Road, right across from the police station. If you know Mumbai, you know how hectic Lamington Road gets with all the electronics shops. Visha Electronics Corporation is at number 349. It is a bit of a squeeze inside the shop because we have so many drawers filled with capacitors, resistors, and all sorts of small parts. Usually, we have the radio playing in the background while we sort through orders. The police station across the street is a good landmark for people who haven't visited us before. It's dusty work keeping track of everything, and sometimes we lose a small part under a desk for a week. We have been here for a while and have seen the street change quite a bit over the years. Some days we are buried under boxes and other days we are just waiting for the delivery guy to show up. It isn't a glamorous job but we like being in the middle of all the action. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s usually when we take a break. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us trying to keep the inventory straight. If you need something for a circuit board, we probably have it buried somewhere in one of those blue bins. We just keep going, day after day, making sure the orders go out to whoever needs them and handling whatever comes next.
