Vinit Prints

We operate out of the Shalimar Industrial Estate in Dharavi. Our units are B-18 and B-19, which are near the Tata Power station in the Matunga Labour Camp area. It is a very active part of the city with a lot of small businesses packed together. Our shop is full of printing equipment that we have used for many years. These machines are loud and they make the floor vibrate when we are doing a big run. The air always has that heavy smell of ink, which you stop noticing after an hour or so. We don't have any fancy decorations or a place for meetings. Usually, we are just standing around the machines or packing finished jobs into boxes. The roads around here are very narrow, so it is hard to bring in large loads of paper. We have to be careful about when we schedule our pick-ups. We don't do any big advertising for ourselves. Word of mouth is how most people find us. It gets quite hot in the units during the day, so we keep the doors open to get a bit of a breeze. We have a small sink in the back where we wash the ink off our hands. It is hard work and the hours can be long, but we have been doing this for a long time and we know our way around the press.
