Our place is in the Rubby Monarch Arcade, right on Saki Vihar Road. If you’ve ever been to Sakinaka in Andheri East, you know the traffic can be a real headache. We’re at unit 206. It’s a busy building. There are a lot of other businesses around us. We mostly handle trading. This means there’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls going on throughout the day. The office isn't anything special to look at. We have some metal cupboards for files. Our sturdy desks have seen better days. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and making sure things are moving from one place to another. It’s a lot of logistics. Checking invoices takes up most of the afternoon. The noise from the road outside never really stops. Even in the evenings, it is loud. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to drown out the horns. Sometimes customers come in to settle accounts. They might just stay to chat about the market. We don't have any fancy brochures. There is no marketing department here. We just do our work and go home. Being in Andheri East means we are right in the thick of things. It is good for business even if the commute is tough. We focus on the daily tally and making sure the warehouse sends out the right stuff. It’s a plain way to make a living and it keeps us occupied from morning until night.
