Our lab is tucked away in the Firdaus Building over on Old Kanthwadi Road. If you know Bandra West, you know how these narrow streets can be, especially around Chibai Road. It’s a busy area but we like it here. We’ve been operating out of this space for quite some time now. Most days it’s just the sound of equipment and people trying to find parking outside. It’s not the easiest place to get to if you’re driving a big car, but we make it work. The building itself is an older one, which gives it some character I guess. We spend most of our time inside the lab dealing with the technical stuff. It’s quiet inside compared to the street noise outside. We don’t have any big flashy signs or anything like that. Just a dedicated team of folks who have been working together for years. We know the neighbors and the local tea stall guys. It feels like a real part of the community here. Work starts early and usually runs late depending on what we have on the bench that day. We try to stay organized, though sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks. It’s just how a working lab goes. We’re happy staying right here in Bandra where everything is happening, even if the traffic is a headache sometimes. There’s always a bit of salt in the air from the sea nearby. It’s just a normal place for us to be.
