Vikhroli West is always crowded, especially around the station area. When we first moved into Kailas Business Park at C-408 and 409, it felt a bit different from our old small office. But inside, it’s still the same kind of chaos. There are piles of folders on almost every desk and the printer usually jams when we are in a hurry. Arihant Unique Venture Private Limited is basically just us sitting around computers or talking on the phone for hours. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone to open the door for you. If someone knocks, whoever is closest just gets up. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and the heavy traffic on the road below. We spend a lot of time drinking instant coffee from the machine in the hallway. Sometimes we stay late because a project is stuck, and we end up ordering some food from the place around the corner. It's not a glamorous life, but it's ours. Most of us have been working together for quite a while now, so we know each other's moods pretty well. We don't really have meetings that last for hours; we just shout across the room if we need something. It’s a practical way to work and it seems to get things done without wasting too much time on formalities. On Fridays, we try to leave a little early to beat the worst of the train rush, but it hardly ever happens.
