Vijayjyot Seats India Pvt. Ltd. over here in Kandivli East has been around for some time now. We are tucked away behind National Avenue on Akruli Road at Plot B. It’s a busy spot but we like it here. Most days are just about getting the seats right and making sure everything is moving on the floor. It’s not fancy work, just honest stuff. We spend a lot of time looking at materials and making sure the frames are solid before anything goes out. The guys in the workshop have been with us through plenty of seasons. Sometimes the rains make the commute to the plot a bit of a mess, but we show up anyway. We don't really have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a desk and some samples. We focus on what needs doing today. If you walk past National Avenue, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s a practical setup. We handle the stitching and the padding and all the little details that go into a seat. It gets noisy sometimes when the machines are all running at once. We usually have tea together in the afternoons. It keeps everyone going. The neighborhood knows us pretty well by now. We try to keep things simple and just do what we are supposed to do. There isn’t much more to it than that really. We just work hard and go home at the end of the shift.
