Viam Exim Private Limited

Viam Exim is based in South Mumbai, over at Jolly Bhavan No. 1 on New Marine Lines. This part of the city has so much history when it comes to trade, so it feels like a good spot for us to be. Our office is at 503, and it is a place where we have spent many long days and late nights. Being so close to the main shipping hubs and the old business districts is quite helpful for what we do. We deal with import and export work, which basically means a lot of coordinating between different people and companies. It is definitely not a glamorous job by any means. Most of our day is spent checking through stacks of documents and making sure all the customs details are perfect. The building is one of those classic old Mumbai structures where you see people from all walks of life. We have a small, tight-knit team, and everyone knows exactly what they need to do. We don't have some big mission statement or a fancy vision. We just focus on the job we have today, whether that is tracking down a lost shipment or talking about prices with a supplier. Sometimes we walk down towards the ocean during our break just to clear our heads. The office stays pretty busy, and the phones are always ringing, especially once the afternoon hits. We’ve been in this business for years, so we’ve seen all the ups and downs of the market and trade.
