Vatco Elec-Power Pvt. Ltd. operates out of the C. K. Building at 178 Sant Tukaram Road. It’s number 44 in the building. This area is always busy with trucks and people moving goods. Our space is more of a functional hub than a polished office. We deal with power stuff, so there are always heavy cables and electrical components lying around. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving crates in and out. It’s a noisy street outside, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of the traffic over the years. We don't have a big reception area or anyone to open the door for you. Usually, one of us just looks up from a desk or a workbench when someone walks in. We spend a lot of time checking specs and making sure things are wired up correctly. It is a lot of technical work but we explain it in plain terms if someone asks. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or fancy presentations. We just focus on the task at hand. The breakroom is just a table with a kettle, which is fine for us. We’ve been at this for a long time and we know the ins and outs of the business. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to do a decent job every day. We close up at six and head home like everyone else on this busy road.
