Valia Associates

Valia Associates is tucked away at 205-A in the Shiv-E-Numh Building. We’re right there at Worli Naka, which is a place that never really sleeps. If you've ever tried to drive through here at five in the evening, you know exactly what I mean. Our office isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need into it over the years. There are stacks of files everywhere because we haven't quite figured out how to go completely paperless yet. Dr.A.B. Road is always buzzing outside our windows, and sometimes you can hear the horns even through the glass. We don't have any fancy receptionists or big logos on the wall. Usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from a desk and ask how we can help. It’s a bit of an older building, so it has its quirks, like the elevator that makes a weird clunking sound every time it passes the first floor. We’ve been here a long time, and we know the other tenants pretty well. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and writing things down in big registers. We don't really have a grand philosophy; we just show up, do the work that needs to be done for the day, and then head home through the traffic like everyone else in Mumbai. It’s simple, honest work and we like being part of the local scene. There is always someone around to share a cup of tea.
