We are right in the middle of Nagdevi Cross Lane, at number 39/41. If you know Mumbai, you know how Nagdevi is. It’s crowded, narrow, and always full of people carrying heavy loads. Our shop is on the ground floor, but you have to come inside a bit to find us. It’s a small space, packed from floor to ceiling with boxes and hardware. There isn't much room to walk once we have a shipment in. We’ve been in this lane for a long time, dealing with the daily rush and the humidity. V Dipesh Kumar & Co is a family-style setup. We don't have a big marketing budget or a polished storefront. We just have what people need, stacked up on the shelves. The noise from the lane never really stops, so you have to talk loud to be heard. We spend most of the day checking inventory or talking to customers who squeeze into the shop. It’s a bit chaotic, but we have a system that works for us. We know where every single nut and bolt is hidden. Sometimes it gets frustrating when the lane gets blocked by a handcart, but that’s just Nagdevi life. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We’re just here on the ground floor, doing business like everyone else in the market. It’s a lot of work, but we’re used to the pace.
