Uttam Galva Steels. Ltd.

We are located in Flat Number 12 at Swami Samarth Nagar in Ushanagar. This is right in Khopoli, part of the Raigarh district in Maharashtra. It is a residential building, so the office has a very local, lived-in feel to it. Working for Uttam Galva Steels. Ltd. from here means we are right in the middle of where our colleagues live. The apartment is on a higher floor, so we get a bit of a view of the surrounding town. It is not a fancy corporate setup with a front desk or anything like that. We just have a couple of rooms where we keep the computers and the filing cabinets. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn’t stop us from getting the work done. We spend a lot of time on the phone with the factory or talking to drivers. During the monsoon, the rain really hammers down on the roof, and it can be quite loud. We usually take a break in the afternoon to get some snacks from the local stalls nearby. It is a very normal way to spend a workday. We know most of the people in the building, and they know we are busy with the steel business. There is no pretense here. We just come in, do what needs to be done for the company, and then lock up for the night.
