Urban Beauty Spot

You can find us over at Kamlesh Building on Mahakali Caves Road. We are at shop number 27, which isn't too hard to spot if you are walking by the ground floor. Tolani College is nearby, so there is always a lot of activity on the sidewalk with students and people heading to work. Andheri East is a crowded area of Mumbai, and this street is no exception. Inside the shop, things are pretty simple at Urban Beauty Spot. We do beauty treatments, so there are some chairs and various bottles and tools scattered around the counters. It’s a local spot where people from the neighborhood come in to get things done without much fuss. The building itself is older, like a lot of places around here, but it works fine for what we do. We usually have the radio on or just the sound of the fans going to keep the air moving when it gets humid. On rainy days, the water really puddles up on Mahakali Caves Road, but people still make their way in. We aren't trying to be a big fancy salon you’d find in a mall. It’s just a regular beauty spot for the locals. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name now. It gets a bit dusty with all the construction and traffic nearby, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up. It's a small space, but it's ours. We just keep things moving one day at a time.
