Up State Road Transport Corp (Up Roadways)

Up State Road Transport Corp, or just Up Roadways as most people around here call us, is based out of Dheeraj Enclave. We are up on the 13th floor of Tower 1-B, which gives a pretty good view of the Western Express Highway in Borivali East. It gets really busy around here, especially with all the traffic coming in and out of Mumbai. We’ve been at this address for a while now, handling the transport side of things. It is not a fancy setup, just a regular office where the phones ring a lot and papers are everywhere. Some days are loud because of the highway noise, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our staff mostly takes the local train to Borivali station and then a rickshaw to get here. We deal with bus schedules and routes mostly. It’s a lot of coordination with drivers and checking the logs to see who is where. Sometimes the AC acts up in the afternoon heat, but we keep the fans going. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t have a big lobby or anything like that. People just drop by to check on their bookings or drop off documents. It is just how things work in this part of town. We try to keep things moving as much as we can. The coffee from the shop downstairs is what keeps us going through the afternoon slump. Most of us have been here for years.
