Deonar is a quieter part of the city compared to the main business hubs. We are located at number 6, Nilgiri, in Deonar Baug. It’s more of a residential-feeling area, which is nice because it’s a bit calmer during the day. Our office is more like a converted space where we handle shipping and trade links. There are lots of folders and shipping documents piled up on the tables. We spend a lot of time tracking shipments and talking to people at the port. It’s a lot of coordination. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and it gets a bit stressful in here. Other times, we are just waiting for news on a cargo arrival. The trees outside Nilgiri give some nice shade, which is a relief in the hot summer months. We don't have a big sign outside or anything. Most of our partners have known us for years. We do a lot of our work over the phone or through messages. It’s not a fancy setup with glass partitions or anything like that. Just some sturdy desks and computers. We often work late when there are time zone differences to deal with for international trade. It’s just the nature of the business. We try to keep things organized despite all the paperwork. It is a small team effort to keep the links running smoothly.
