Even though the company name mentions Mumbai, we are actually operating out here in Aurangabad. It is a different pace of life compared to the coast. Our office is set up simply to handle the local infrastructure projects in this region. We don't have a big fancy sign or a huge building. It is just a modest space where we can gather and go over the project details. The streets around us are usually busy with local commerce. Inside, the walls are mostly bare except for some calendars and project timelines pinned up with tape. We have a few computers that have seen a lot of use over the years. The team here is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. One minute you’re looking at a budget, and the next you’re checking on a delivery of cement. It gets quite warm in Aurangabad, so we keep the windows open when there’s a breeze. There’s always a pot of water and some glasses on the side table for anyone who stops by. We aren't big on corporate talk or long presentations. We just want to get the jobs done correctly and move on to the next task. It’s a very down-to-earth way of working. Most of our days are spent checking on sites and coming back here to file the reports. It's not glamorous, but it’s the reality of the work we do every single day.
