We are located at 48 Agyari Lane in the Fort area of Mumbai. If you know Fort, you know the buildings are old and the lanes are very narrow. It is a historic part of the city. Our office is inside one of these old buildings. The ceilings are high and the windows are small. It feels like you are stepping back in time a little bit when you walk in. We do sourcing and international business from here. It is mostly a lot of emails and long phone calls because of the different time zones. The noise of the Mumbai streets follows us into the office. You can hear the taxis honking and people shouting. Agyari Lane is quite famous in its own way. We have desks piled with samples and documents. There is no elevator, so we have to walk up the stairs every day. It keeps us moving. The office doesn't have any modern glass partitions. It is just one big room where everyone sits together. We get our snacks from the vendors on the street downstairs. Dealing with world-wide business from such an old part of town is interesting. We don't have a corporate handbook or anything like that. We just know how things work in this neighborhood and we stick to our daily routine. It’s a busy place but we like being in the heart of the city. The office smells like old paper and tea.
