We’ve been here at Mulratna for a long time. It’s right in the middle of Katha Bazar, so it’s always crowded and noisy outside. Number 334 is where you’ll find us. The building is one of those old ones with thick walls and high ceilings. You can smell the spices and goods from the market coming through the windows. We’ve got a small team here, just a few of us handling the day-to-day operations. It’s mostly paperwork and coordinating with traders. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture. Our desks are old wood and we have stacks of ledgers everywhere. It’s how we like it, honestly. It feels like real work. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for a bit, but we just wait it out. There’s a lot of tradition in this part of town. We know most of the other shopkeepers and businessmen on the street. We’ve seen the market change over the decades, but the way we do things hasn't changed all that much. We answer the phones, talk to clients, and make sure the accounts are right. It’s a bit of a maze getting to our door if you aren’t used to the bazar. But once you’re inside, it’s a lot calmer. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. We usually lock up and head home before it gets too dark.
