We spend most of our time here at Shiva Estate in Bhandup West working with metal. It's usually a bit loud in the workshop because of the machines and the cutting, but that’s just how things go when you're making stuff out of iron and steel. Turret Art Metal started because we liked making things that last. We are tucked away on Lake Road at units 15 and 16. If you walk past, you'll probably hear the clanking. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Most days we are just busy with welding or looking at drawings for the next project. Sometimes the weather makes the metal hot to touch, but we just keep at it. People from around the neighborhood know us as the guys who handle the heavy work. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy things for us. It is just a group of us who know how to bend and shape metal. Bhandup is a busy place and being on Lake Road means there is always something moving outside. We try to keep things organized, but a metal shop usually has scraps and tools everywhere. That's just the reality of the job. We've been here for a while now and the routine stays pretty much the same. Morning tea, check the orders, get the machines started, and try to finish before the sun goes down too far.
