Our office is located on the first floor of Sayed House, which is 63/65 on Swantantrya Veer Savarkar Marg in Mahim. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this road can get. We are right in the middle of it all. Tufail Universal Impex is the name on the door, but inside, it’s just us working through the daily grind of importing and exporting. The building is older, which gives it a bit of character, though the stairs can be a bit much on a hot afternoon. We deal with all sorts of things coming through the port. It’s a lot of coordination with shipping agents and warehouses. We don't have a lot of time for fancy talk because there is always a deadline or a ship leaving. The noise from the street is always there in the background, but you get used to it after a week or two. We just sit at our desks, handle the phone calls, and make sure the cargo is where it needs to be. It’s a simple operation without any of the corporate fluff you see in the bigger firms downtown. We’ve been doing this for long enough to know the shortcuts and the common problems. We just take it one day at a time and keep the business moving forward through the piles of paperwork.
