Triveni Forgings & Ispat Udyog (P) Ltd.

We’re located at 18 Crescent Industrial Estate, which is just off Village Road. It’s a bit of an older industrial patch, and Triveni Forgings & Ispat Udyog has been part of it for a long time. The building itself is pretty rugged. You won’t find any glass walls or fancy carpets here. It’s all about the steel and the forging process. The sound of the hammers and the heat from the furnaces are just part of the daily life for us. We spend most of our time in the workshop area rather than sitting behind desks. There’s always a lot of heavy lifting and moving metal around, so it’s a pretty tiring environment, but it’s what we know. We have a small group of workers who have been doing this for years. We don’t really have meetings to talk about goals; we just look at the orders and start the machines. Sometimes the equipment needs a lot of maintenance, so there’s always someone with grease on their hands fixing something. The road outside is often blocked with delivery trucks, and the whole area has that industrial smell of oil and hot iron. It’s a gritty job, and we aren't trying to make it sound like anything else. We’re just a local forging shop getting through the workload and making sure the pieces we make are solid. It’s just us and the metal.
