Tripti Mandlekar

Tripti Mandlekar is found at Raikot 5/44 in the Juhu Shalimar Society. This is on Johlan Road in Andheri West. The society is a bit tucked away, so it can be quiet compared to the main road. We have been working from this space for a long time. It is not really an office in the traditional sense, more of a lived-in workspace. There are shelves full of books and papers everywhere. We do not really follow a strict decorating style. It is just how things have accumulated over the years. Johlan Road can be a nightmare for traffic, so we usually try to get in early. Once you are inside the Juhu Shalimar Society, it feels like a different world. There are some trees and the air feels a bit fresher. Our room is simple with just the essentials. We have a phone that rings occasionally and a couple of computers. We do not have a receptionist or anything fancy. If you knock, one of us will just get up and open the door. It is a very informal environment. We know most of the people who live and work in the building. It makes the day feel a bit more personal. We just do our tasks and try to keep things moving. It is a comfortable enough spot for what we need. Sometimes the monkeys come near the windows, which is always a distraction from our paperwork.
