Toyo Connectors & Cables

Toyo Connectors & Cables is tucked away in Shop No. 2 - A of the Chotani Building. We are at 52 - A Proctor Road in Grant Road East. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know it is always crowded and full of energy. Our shop is small and packed from floor to ceiling with all kinds of wires, cables, and small plastic connectors. It smells like copper and rubber in here. Being near the Grant Road station means there is a constant flow of people outside. We spend a lot of time untangling coils or searching through small plastic bags for a specific connector a customer is holding in their hand. The Chotani Building is an older structure, so it has that lived-in feel with narrow hallways and lots of character. We don't have much room for fancy displays, so everything is just stacked where it fits. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what is needed, but we usually know where everything is buried. It is a bit loud with the horns honking on Proctor Road, but we are used to it by now. We sit on small stools behind the counter and wait for the next person to come in with a cable problem. It is simple work, just buying and selling the bits and pieces that connect electronics together, and we have been doing it this way for quite some time.
