T.K.Metal Works

Kandivli West is always crowded, and the Charkop estate is full of small shops and workshops. T.K.Metal Works is tucked away at 108-Abcd. It can be a bit hard to find us among all the other units if you don't know the way. There are usually metal shavings on the floor and that smell of oil in the air. We wear old clothes because things get dirty fast here. It is loud most of the time with people shouting over the machines. We have been in this Kandivli Co-Op Industrial Estate for a long time. It is a tight space, so we are always moving stuff around. We deal with boxes, metal sheets, and all sorts of tools every single day. The tea break in the afternoon is probably the best part of our routine. We just sit on some old stools and relax for a bit. There is no air conditioning here, just some big fans that move the air around. It gets pretty sweaty when the sun is out. We just do the work, pack everything up, and send it out to whoever needs it. T.K.Metal Works is just a regular workshop. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of that. Just the shop floor and a small desk where we keep the bills and some pens. The neighbors in the estate are all doing their own thing. It is a real community of people making things. We just keep our heads down and get the metal cut and shaped. That's life at 108-Abcd.
