The Urban Studio

The Urban Studio takes up three shop spaces, one, two, and three, in the Ashok Nagar Building number 2. We are situated on Marol Military Road in Andheri East. If you are looking for us, we are right opposite Ashok Tower, which is a big landmark for everyone around here. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just walk in off the street. Marol is always moving, with cars and bikes constantly going past the door throughout the day. The studio is where we spend most of our time, working on whatever projects are on the table. We have enough room with the three shops joined together, but it still feels cozy enough once you get settled inside. The lighting is okay, though we have to use a lot of lamps when the sun starts to go down in the evening. Mumbai traffic can be a nightmare on Military Road, so we often hear the horns honking while we work. It’s just part of the atmosphere of being in this part of town. We keep things pretty organized, but there is always a bit of clutter from the day's work. It’s a real working space, not a showroom. We have some basic furniture and the usual equipment you’d expect for a studio. Most people who come by live in the nearby towers or work in the local offices. It’s an easy place for people in the neighborhood to get to when they need us.
