The B E S & T Undertaking Mumbai

I’m currently based out of J-203 in the Best Officers Quarters over in Goregaon West. This is a residential area, so it’s a bit different from a standard office building in Mumbai. Being part of The B E S & T Undertaking means we are deeply connected to how the city moves and functions. Living and working from the quarters gives a different perspective on the job. It’s quiet here compared to the main depots, but the work still finds its way to the door. We handle various administrative tasks and oversight from this location. It’s a lot of reading through reports and making sure the internal stuff for the organization is handled correctly. Goregaon West is a busy suburb, but inside the quarters, it’s a bit more relaxed. We don't have customers walking in off the street like a shop would. It’s mostly internal business and coordinating with other departments across Mumbai. My desk is usually covered in notes and schedules. Sentence lengths vary because that's just how I think. Some days I’m out in the field, and other days I’m right here in J-203 catching up on everything. We don't have any flashy brochures or a big corporate vibe here. It’s just about keeping the service running for the people of Mumbai. It’s a steady job with a lot of history behind it, and we just do our part to keep it going.
