The Antiques World

We are tucked away at Shop No 174 near the B.P.T Railway Line in Wadala East. If you find Gate No 4, you are basically right there. The Antiques World is full of old things we have gathered over a long time. It is a bit of a maze inside. You will find dust on some things because that is just how antiques are. We do not polish everything to a mirror shine because people usually like the old, authentic look. The sound of the trains passing by is something we have just gotten used to over the years. It is a unique spot for a shop, that is for sure. We spend our days cleaning up old finds or helping someone look for that one specific piece of history. It is not a high-end gallery with white walls and soft lights. It is a real shop with stuff piled up wherever we can fit it. Sometimes it takes a minute to find what you are looking for in the back room. We like the history behind these objects. Each one has a story, even if we do not always know what it is. Working in Wadala East has its own rhythm. It is a hardworking area and we feel we fit right in. We just keep things moving, buying a bit here and selling a bit there. It is a slow business compared to others, but we enjoy the pace. No rush, just old things.
