We are tucked away in Sindhi Society on Hemu Kalani Marg. If you know Chembur East, you probably know where Bhakti Bhavan is, and we are right near there at 411/B. The Acres Club is quite a big spot for this neighborhood. We have greenery which is hard to find in Mumbai these days. There’s a lot of space for kids to run around and for older folks to take their walks. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the different wings and halls. We do a lot of events, so there’s usually someone setting up chairs or cleaning up after a party. It’s a busy life running a club like this. The trees give some nice shade, though the leaves are a pain to sweep up every single day. We aren't trying to be a five-star resort; we are just a community club where families hang out. Sometimes the parking gets tight on the weekends because everyone wants to be here at the same time. The staff is mostly local people who have been with us for years. They know which tap leaks and which light switch is a bit finicky. It’s just a practical place for the people living in Chembur to have some breathing room. We keep the gates open and try to make sure everyone follows the rules. It’s just life at the club.
