Our office, Thames House, is located at 5/5, R.S.C. 12 in S.V.P. Nagar, Mhada. It’s over in Andheri West. Thames Maritime Pvt.Ltd. has been running out of this space for quite a while now. Being in Mhada means we’re surrounded by a lot of other offices and residential blocks. It’s a busy part of Mumbai. We deal with maritime matters, which usually involves a lot of paperwork and tracking ships or cargo. It’s not as exciting as being out at sea, but it keeps us busy during the day. The office is a bit cramped with files and computers, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or a doorman. You just come in and talk to whoever is at the desk. We’re just regular people trying to keep things moving in the shipping world. Sometimes the rain in Andheri makes getting to the office a real chore, but we manage to get here. We don’t use corporate jargon or try to impress people with big claims. We just handle the logistics and make sure the documents are where they need to be. It’s steady work and we’ve got a good rhythm going. Most of us have been here for years, so we’re like a small family in this little corner of S.V.P. Nagar. It's just a normal job in a busy city.
