Telephone System

We’re over in Vikhroli West, right on Station Road. Telephone System is located in Arya Arcade, Unit 112 on the first floor. Being on Station Road means there’s never a quiet moment. You can hear the buses and the crowd all day long. It’s a bit of a climb if you don’t want to wait for the lift, but the first floor isn't too bad. Our shop is pretty packed with wires, old handsets, and new systems. We don't have much room for fancy displays. Mostly, it’s just shelves full of equipment we use every day. The lighting is a bit yellow, and the floor has some tiles that probably need replacing. We’ve been here long enough that we don't really notice the noise anymore. People stop by on their way to the station to ask questions. We keep a diary for all the calls we need to make. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. Not many people use landlines like they used to, but we still have plenty to do with the systems we maintain. We have a small table for tea and that’s about it for a break area. It’s a small, honest business. We do our work and go home like everyone else on this street. The desk is usually cluttered with screwdrivers and testing kits, but that's how we like it.
