Tej-Cab Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. is located at 496, Kalbadevi Road. We are on the ground floor in shop number 8 of the Krishna Niwas building. If you know Kalbadevi, you know how old and historic these buildings are. The walls are thick, and the ceilings are high, but the shops themselves are often quite narrow. We are surrounded by all kinds of traders. Our shop is full of cables and electrical supplies. There isn't much room for anything else. We have a small desk near the front where we handle the billing. The floor is old stone, and it stays relatively cool even when it’s hot outside. The smell of old wood and electrical insulation is everywhere. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We talk to people on the street, and we know the other shop owners who have been here for decades. There’s no air conditioning, just a heavy-duty ceiling fan that moves the air around. We don't have a website that we update or anything like that. People just know where we are. Dealing with Tej-Cab is a very straightforward thing. You come in, tell us what kind of cable you need, and we find it in the stacks. It’s a bit of a maze in the back, but we have a good memory for where everything is kept. It’s how things have always been done in this part of Mumbai, and it works for us.
