Out here at Imperial Mansion in Cuffe Parade, things feel a bit different than the newer parts of Mumbai. We’re in suite number 3. Colaba is an old part of the city, and the building reflects that history. We do consultancy work, which means a lot of us are glued to our laptops most of the day. It’s a busy office, but not in a flashy way. We deal with a lot of data and helping companies figure out their tech problems. Being in South Mumbai has its perks, like the sea breeze if you walk a block away, but inside the office, it’s just us and our monitors. The space is a bit tight sometimes because we have a lot of people coming in. It isn't one of those modern glass towers. It feels more like a place where people actually live and work. We don't spend money on expensive decor. We just have our workstations and a place to make some tea. The traffic around Cuffe Parade can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we usually just stay late to finish up our reports. It’s a steady rhythm. We’ve been at this address for a long time. People know us as the tech folks in the mansion. We don't talk much about our vision or anything. We just solve the bugs and keep the systems running for the people who hire us. It’s just what we do every single day without making too much noise about it.
