Tasmi Gems

Tasmi Gems is located at 404 Saba Palace on 4th Road in Khar West. We are right above the Bank of Baroda, so we are pretty easy to spot if you are walking or driving by. Khar is a lively area, and being on 4th Road means we are close to just about everything. The office itself is up on the fourth floor. It’s a small, secure space where we spend our time looking at stones and talking to people who have been coming to us for years. We don’t have a flashy showroom with bright lights and velvet cases. It’s more of a working office where we keep things simple. There are a couple of safes, some heavy-duty desks, and the usual tools we need for our work. Sometimes the building can be a bit quiet, but then you’ll have several people show up at once and it gets crowded fast. We like the neighborhood feel of Khar West. It’s got a bit more character than some of the newer business districts. We aren't trying to be the biggest name out there; we just focus on the pieces in front of us and try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It’s a quiet life for the most part, spent mostly peering through magnifying glasses and writing out receipts by hand.
