Taj Hotel

Our setup is in the Mansarovar Complex, specifically at 2B/604. This is in Kamothe, which is a busy part of Navi Mumbai. We run the Taj Hotel from this spot, even though it's part of a residential and commercial block. Being in the Raigad district of Maharashtra means we get a lot of variety in the people who pass through. It isn’t a fancy place with a gold-plated lobby. It’s a functional space. Living and working in Navi Mumbai has its challenges, like the traffic and the humidity, but we are used to it by now. We spend most of our daylight hours here at the complex. We keep things pretty simple. There’s no big marketing team writing our stuff, just us. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, and we have to walk up to the sixth floor, but that’s just part of life in a big complex like Mansarovar. We deal with the day-to-day tasks as they come. It’s a bit noisy outside with the horns and the construction that never seems to end in this part of India. We’ve been here for a while and know the local chai wallahs and the shops nearby. It feels like a real community even if it’s just a bunch of concrete buildings. We don’t try to be something we’re not. If you’re looking for us, we’re just another door in the 6th floor corridor, doing our best to keep things moving for everyone who stays with us.
