Our office for Synergy Freightways is in Powai, inside the MMRDA colony. We are in Building Number 6, Flat 605 of the Aman Ekta Co Operative Housing Society. Powai is always buzzing with traffic and people, but up on the sixth floor, it stays a bit more peaceful. We deal with freight, which means our day is basically one long conversation about trucks, routes, and timings. The flat is converted into a workspace, so it feels more like a home than a cold office. You can see the other buildings from the window, and sometimes the rain looks quite nice from up here. We don't have a big reception desk or a sign in the lobby. We just have our desks and our computers. Most of the people working here have been around for years, so we all know how to handle the glitches that happen in the shipping world. It's a lot of manual tracking and calling up drivers to see why they are delayed. We don't go in for those corporate missions or shiny brochures. We just want to get the freight from point A to point B without any major disasters. It’s a simple way of working, and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. After work, we usually just fight the Powai traffic like everyone else to get back home.
