Syam

Being based in Mumbai means we are always dealing with the noise and the fast pace of the city. We don't have a specific neighborhood listed because we tend to move around a lot for our work. Syam is just a small operation. It’s mostly just us handling whatever comes our way during the day. Sometimes we are working out of a small rented room, and other times we are on the move. The city is so big that you can get lost in it, but we’ve found our own rhythm over the years. We don’t have a big team or a lot of expensive equipment. It is mostly about the phone calls and the connections we have made. The traffic in Mumbai is a constant struggle, so a lot of our time is spent just getting from one place to another. We don’t really have a fancy office to show off to anyone. If you meet us, it’s probably at a local cafe or a shared workspace. We keep our overhead low and just focus on the tasks at hand. It’s a bit of a scramble sometimes, trying to keep everything on track while the city carries on around us. We don’t have a big plan or a set of rules we follow. We just take the work as it comes and try to be honest about what we can do. It’s a very local, Mumbai way of living.
