S S Enterprises is located in the old Peerbhoy Mansion, room number 462, on S.V.P Road in Mumbai. It’s one of those classic buildings you see in that part of the city, full of history and a bit worn down at the edges. Being in South Mumbai means we are right in the middle of everything, but the traffic on S.V.P Road can be a nightmare during rush hour. Our office isn’t huge; it’s a typical Mumbai workspace where every inch of room is used for something. We’ve got stacks of files and samples all over the place. It’s a bit cramped, but it has a good atmosphere. We have been operating out of this building for a long time. People who come to visit us usually have to climb the stairs because the lift can be temperamental. It’s a busy life here in Mumbai, always something going on outside the window. We mostly deal with our suppliers and clients over the phone, but we have regulars who drop in for a tea and a chat about the market. We don't do anything fancy like social media or big advertising campaigns. Most of our connections are based on years of just being here and doing the work. It’s a practical way to run a business in this city. You learn to work with what you have. Even with the noise and the crowds, we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. This is where we belong.
